Curriculum
Francesca De Santis
graduated in Organ,
Organ Composition, Harpsichord and Piano, she studied Spanish and
Italian Ancient Music – for Organ and Harpsichord – with Tagliavini,
Tilney, Conti and Bonet. In
Cremona she mastered
her technical ability and aesthetic sensibility under the guidance of
the J.B.Christensen (Continuous
Bass) and, in same time, M. Radulescu (J.S.Bach Masterworks). She made
live recording, as harpsichordist, with the L. Leo Orchestra, for
Baryton and Bongiovanni Records. She continued her studies under the
guidance of concertists of worldwide reputation, like as M. Torrent, G.
Bovet, L.Rogg , M.Chapuis and Jean Galard (Paris National Conservatory)
for the Organ Improvisation and Interpretation in the French Romantic
Repertoire, where in 1986 she won a scholarship. She specialized in the writing and transcriptions of pieces for pipe organ, both in “a solo“ and chamber music, and in improvisation, both free and on a theme. Recently, she published a piece for organ 4 hands and 4 feet, (Armelin
- Padova). As an international concert organist - duo “4 hands” (De Santis – Salvatori) and organ - violin (De Santis – de’ Bonfils) she has given recitals in Italy and abroad. She often co-operates
with several Concert Societies making Seminars about the Improvisation
and the Ancient Playing Praxis. She gone deeper in the study of
Gregorian Chant, that she teaching at the Niccolò Piccinni State
Conservatory of Music. She displays her
continuous interest for Seminars of Aesthetics and Notation
(Baroffio), Paleography (Magistrale), Vocal Technique and Coral Practice
(Baroffio ), Modality (Susca), Mass Repertory (Albarosa), Music Codes
and History of Liturgy (Bianchi, Mischiati, Fabris). She
published several CDs where as Organist.
